Born in Pamplona, ​​capital of the municipality of Navarra, Nico Williams arrived at Athletic Bilbao’s youth teams in 2013, coming from Osasuna. The player began his career playing for Bilbao’s youth team, Basconia, during the 2019–20 season.

On 11 May 2020, Williams was promoted to Bilbao B to compete in the Spanish Third Division.
