Real Madrid have enjoyed great luck with their investments in young Brazilian talents in recent years. Vinicius Jr, Rodrygo Goes, Eder Militao and now Endrick serve as good examples of the same.
One player whose move to the Valdebebas did not work out, however, is Reinier Jesus.
The 22-year-old arrived in Madrid in January 2020 for a fee of €30 million. Despite being at the club for over four years, however, he is yet to make his debut for the first team and has spent most of his time on loan.
Looking for a way out
As revealed in a recent update by AS, Reinier Jesus is aware that his future lies away from Real Madrid. Carlo Ancelotti does not count on him in any capacity and he is thus looking for a way out of the club.
There are said to be some clubs following his situation and interested in a transfer. However, there is no official offer yet.
One of the clubs eyeing Reinier is Rayo Vallecano as they appreciate his recent form with the Castilla side and see him as a handy player. They too, however, are yet to make an official move for the Brazilian star.
In any case, given that the youngster’s current value stands at under €3 million, Real Madrid will net a loss on the entire operation.
Impressive for the Castilla
The 22-year-old may indeed have not got the right stage to show his talent for the first team. Last month, however, he scored a special hat-trick in the Castilla side’s pre-season friendly and attracted eyes.
Reinier was reportedly surprised that Ancelotti did not call him up for the US tour after his performance and is now certain that he does not have a future at the club.
The coming weeks, needless to say, will be critical in deciding the youngster’s future.
