Special streak: Real Madrid veteran has won a trophy in each of the last four months

Dani Carvajal is enjoying a remarkable year in 2024, having secured trophies in each of the past four months—May, June, July, and August.

It’s not every day that a footballer achieves such consistent success across multiple competitions, but Carvajal’s achievement is truly extraordinary.

In May 2024, Carvajal added to his already impressive collection of silverware when Real Madrid clinched the La Liga title. It was a hard-fought campaign, with the club battling against strong opposition throughout the season.

Carvajal played a crucial role in Real Madrid’s defensive line, helping them maintain a solid backline while also contributing to the attack with his overlapping runs and precise crosses.

The La Liga triumph was a testament to the team’s resilience and Carvajal’s enduring quality as a top-class right-back.

Back-to-back European glory

Just a few weeks later, in June, Carvajal was back on the pitch, playing in the UEFA Champions League final against Borussia Dortmund. Playing a key role in a 2-0 win, he ended up on the scoresheet.

Soon after the UCL glory, Carvajal went on international duty with Spain and in July, he added another trophy to his cabinet, this time winning the UEFA Euro 2024.

August brought another opportunity for Carvajal to lift silverware, this time with Real Madrid in the UEFA Super Cup.

The match saw the Champions League winners Real Madrid go up against the Europa League champions, Atalanta.

It was a tightly contested affair, but once again, Carvajal’s defensive prowess and attacking contributions made a difference. Real Madrid emerged victorious with a 2-0 win, and Carvajal celebrated yet another trophy in what was turning out to be a memorable year.

To win trophies in four consecutive months [not to forget the Spanish Super Cup triumph in January earlier this year] is a rare feat, and the fact that he had a key role in each of those triumphs speaks volumes about Carvajal’s consistency and impact on the pitch.

Whether it’s for club or country, Carvajal has proven time and again that he is a player who can be relied upon in the biggest moments.
