Real Madrid forward will stay put at the club amid Manchester City links

The arrival of Kylian Mbappe was always going to raise suspicions about the future of Rodrygo at Real Madrid.

Shortly after the Frenchman announced the move to Santiago Bernabeu, rumours erupted, linking the Brazilian to a move away from the club.

While speculations did eventually die down, they have re-emerged once again, especially after Atletico Madrid’s purchase of Julian Alvarez.

The Argentine’s move to Madrid has left a gaping hole in Man City’s attacking line, with Rodrygo emerging as an ideal target.

However, despite being linked with a big-money move to Manchester City this summer, Rodrygo is unlikely to consider a move away from the Bernabeu.

This is according to Diario AS, which cites Rodrygo’s entourage claiming the striker is not considering any move away from Real Madrid this summer.

He doesn’t want to leave. He wants to win with Real Madrid, he doesn’t want to go to any other club. Not Manchester City or any other,” Rodrygo’s entourage told a radio station.

Needless to say, it seems Rodrygo is not looking to hurry into any decision over his future, knowing he still has a chance of re-establishing himself as a key player at Real Madrid.

In fact, a recent report suggests the forward will make a detailed review of his situation at the end of the season. Only after then, he will make a decision on his future, possibly considering the idea of joining Man City or any other interested party.
