Real Madrid out-of-favour youngster closing in on loan move to Spanish club

Real Madrid attacking midfielder Reinier Jesus is all set to leave the club on another loan spell before the summer transfer window closes.

The 22-year-old Brazilian is not counted on by first-team manager Carlo Ancelotti, who advised him to find a club that is suited to him in a recent press conference.

While Reinier has impressed with Castilla during pre-season and has even been registered with the reserve team, he does not appear keen on playing in the Spanish third division.

As such, another departure on a loan deal has been in the works for the former Flamengo man, and he seems to have found his next destination.

Granada closing in on Reinier loan

Indeed, according to Marcos Benito of El Chiringuito TV, Spanish second-division side Granada are advancing in their efforts to sign Reinier Jesus on loan from Real Madrid.

Granada were relegated from La Liga last season after they finished at the bottom of the table.

Targeting immediate promotion back to the top flight next season, the club are looking for some late reinforcements and have made solid progress in acquiring Reinier on loan.

The 22-year-old has been at Real Madrid since January 2020 but is yet to make his first-team debut for the Spanish and European champions.

The Brazilian has had loan stints at Borussia Dortmund (two years), Girona, and Frosinone, but none of them have worked out as expected.

Reinier, though, did show glimpses of his ability during pre-season with Castilla this summer and will hope to have an injury-free season once he completes his loan move to Granada so that he can prove himself.

There was talk of Reinier attracting interest from England and Brazil as well, but it seems like he will be continuing in Spain for the ongoing season.
