Where is the real Kylian Mbappe? The elusive forward goes missing again as Los Blancos stumble to a disappointing draw.

The largest acquisition for Real Madrid in years, Mbappe, is yet to score in the league this year. His lone goal for his new team came earlier this month in the UEFA Super Cup victory over Atalanta. On Thursday, Vinicius Junior gave Madrid a penalty ƙιck in the 69th minute to tie the score at one following a handball in the box.

Real Madrid began their championship defense with a 1-1 draw against Mallorca after defeating Valladolid 3-0 in the previous round. The champions are now four points behind Barcelona, the only team to have won all three games, after drawing twice in their previous three games. “We can’t be as consistent as we were last season,” Real Madrid manager Ancelotti remarked. “We must act swiftly to find a solution, and I believe we will. It’s harder than I thought it would be. I’ve learned a lot of stuff from these first three games that don’t work.

Mbappe did not score for the third straight game despite playing the entire ninety minutes and taking two shots on goal. “It was not a good first half,” Ancelotti said. “We had trouble deciding on a goal. We had to endure for a little while. We did not pass the ball swiftly, and the team lacked balance. We had a hard time getting the ball back. That took place during the Mallorca draw. I didn’t notice any progress. We need to make progress as fast as possible, and I think we will.
