Injured Real Madrid star set to shorten his recovery timeline, could return in three weeks

In a very promising bit of update, MARCA reports that injured Real Madrid attacker Brahim Diaz appears set to shorten his recovery timeline having resumed training on the pitch already.

The Moroccan international suffered an injury last month during the 0-2 victory against Real Sociedad. He felt a sharp pain in the back of his thigh and, after playing for a few more minutes, was substituted by Rodrygo in the 23rd minute.

The former Manchester City attacker was diagnosed with an abductor injury in his right leg. While the club did not specify a timeline for his return, it was suggested that he could be sidelined for three months.

Set for an early return

However, there is good news. With all due caution regarding muscle injuries, it appears that Diaz could shorten his recovery timeline astonishingly.

Brahim’s total time out of action may not exceed a month and a half, meaning he could return roughly three weeks from now – more than a month earlier than the most pessimistic forecasts.

On Monday, Real Madrid shared images showing Brahim jogging on the training pitch at Valdebebas, with his boots already on – a clear sign that his recovery is progressing well.

The 25-year-old is in high spirits and eager to return, and as such, is working hard to be ready to rejoin Carlo Ancelotti’s squad in less than a month. This is a particularly important boost given the various injuries currently plaguing the team.

The report confirms that the feelings surrounding Brahim’s recovery have been very positive in recent days, and the fact that he is already working on the field in his boots is yet another indication of this potential ‘miraculous’ recovery.

Real Madrid have been missing the Moroccan international’s guile and eye for goal in recent games and his return would be a major boost.
