Arda Guler has once again found it hard to get regular minutes at Real Madrid despite being fully fit and making an impact almost every time he has been given a chance.
The 19-year-old Turkish prodigy has thus far played only 291 minutes across ten matches for Real Madrid in all competitions even though the team, at times, has been crying out for a creative presence like him on the pitch.
It gave way to speculations that Guler and his camp have grown frustrated and fed up by the treatment being meted out by manager Carlo Ancelotti.
In fact, it was even suggested that the Turkish international could consider an exit in the upcoming January transfer window.
Guler happy, all okay with Ancelotti
However, speaking at a press conference earlier today, Arda Guler made it clear that there is nothing wrong between him and Carlo Ancelotti and that he is very happy at Real Madrid.
The former Fenerbahce wonderkid admitted that he wants to play more, much like every footballer, but that does not mean that there are any issues between him and the manager.
“There are no problems between me and Ancelotti. I am getting more minutes this year. Everything is fine,” said Guler.
“Of course, I want to play every game, but that is normal. There are no problems,” he added.
Discussing his best position on the pitch, Guler insisted that he is comfortable playing in midfield or on the right flank and is happy to line up wherever the coaches ask him to.
“Sometimes I play in midfield, sometimes on the right. I try to do whatever my coaches want,” said the Real Madrid starlet.
Outlining his dream of tasting success with the Turkish national team, Guler said: “I want to win a cup with the national team before I end my career.”
