Real Madrid heavyweight not considering Premier League move despite links – Romano

Since arriving at the club back in 2022, Aurelien Tchouameni has established himself as a permanent fixture in the Real Madrid midfield unit.

One of manager Carlo Ancelotti’s most trusted players, the 24-year-old is an ever-present in the starting lineup when fit and available and has repaid the faith with solid displays, be it in midfield or as a makeshift centre-back.

Given his rise in stature, Tchouameni has attracted interest from other clubs, mostly from the Premier League, where the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool are said to be admirers.

Tchouameni not considering exit

Despite the links to clubs in the Premier League and other teams, Aurelien Tchouameni has not considered the idea of leaving Real Madrid at any point, reports Fabrizio Romano.

In fact, Romano adds that Tchouameni is only thinking about his future at Real Madrid and that his only focus is on improving himself and succeeding long-term at the club.

There has been some criticism towards the French international regarding a few of his recent performances.

Despite all of that, Tchouameni enjoys the utter and complete trust of Ancelotti and will continue to be counted on by the Real Madrid head coach.

In fact, in light of the defensive injuries Los Blancos are dealing with of late, there may be a possibility that Tchouameni gets deployed as a centre-back more frequently in the coming matches.

While the Frenchman has made it clear that he prefers to operate in midfield, he is willing to do whatever the manager asks of him for the good of the team.

“Obviously, I prefer to be in the middle, but I always try to give my best,” he said in a recent interview.
