Bayern Munich ace in talks with Real Madrid amid Barcelona, Man United interest

With Alphonso Davies set to become a free agent at the end of the season, interest in the Bayern Munich ace has been spiking. Real Madrid have been long-term admirers of the Canadian but are facing intense competition.

After all, reports earlier this week indicated that arch-rivals Barcelona have also shown an interest in signing Davies and have made contact with his camp.

Meanwhile, Manchester United, too, are interested in the 23-year-old left-back and are keeping tabs on his situation.

Davies dreaming of Real Madrid

Amidst the rising interest, journalist Christian Falk has come forward with an update on Davies’ stance regarding his future.

As per the German reporter, the Bayern Munich speedster continues to dream of playing for Real Madrid and is indeed in talks with the La Liga champions.

“Alphonso Davies is still dreaming of Real Madrid. Bayern Munich have taken a break on contract talks,” Christian Falk told Caught Offside.

Falk adds that Bayern have currently paused contract negotiations with Davies’ agent and that he has not heard anything about talks taking place between the defender and Manchester United.

“They don’t want to engage in discussions with his agent, Nick Huoseh, any more, as they think the salary demands are too high. They don’t want to pay him over €20 million-a-year.

“If United are willing to pay this, they would be a big competitor for Real Madrid. At the moment, I heard of talks with Real Madrid but I’ve yet to hear the same for Manchester United.”

Real Madrid have been trying to sign Davies for a while now and the player himself seems to be leaning towards a move to the Santiago Bernabeu.

Whether his €20 million-a-year salary demands prove to be a hurdle remains to be seen. But for now, despite growing interest, Davies continues to dream about a move to Real Madrid.
