Real Madrid star extremely frustrated with the lack of goals this season – report

While Jude Bellingham continues to be instrumental for Real Madrid with his performances in midfield, he no longer has the flair that he had around his name last season.

Arriving for Borussia Dortmund before last season, the youngster exploded to life under Carlo Ancelotti’s command and was scoring goals for fun in La Liga.

At this point last season, he already had ten goals to his name but is yet to score a goal this season and it is clear that a lot has changed in terms of his fortune.

The player is unhappy

As revealed in a recent report from MARCA, Bellingham is upset with his lack of goals this season and believes that he needs to start scoring goals to be completely satisfied with his performances.

After all, it has been very long since he last got the opportunity to present his iconic ‘open arms’ celebration to the fans and it is a sight the Santiago Bernabeu desperately misses this season.

The youngster’s goal drought for Real Madrid has been going on so long that his last three goals all have come for England despite the limited participation.

His last goal for Real Madrid came against Deportivo Alaves in May and he has thus gone over 150 days without finding the back of the net for Los Blancos.

The change in formation is one of the most important reasons behind Bellingham’s lack of goals, for Kylian Mbappe’s arrival has pushed him into a deeper midfield role with less sight of goal.

Yet, the report adds that Ancelotti is surprised that the Englishman has not even scored once and how the Frenchman has taken over the share of goals Bellingham used to enjoy last season.
