Real Madrid star likely to win the €55 million battle against French giants today

Kylian Mbappe has been locked in a legal battle with his former employers Paris Saint-Germain for a while now.

The two parties are battling over €55 million, which Mbappe claims he is owed as unpaid salary. PSG argue that Mbappe had decided to forego the salary and the club are thus not liable to pay him.

Mbappe did win the first round of the legal battle when LFP’s legal committee asked PSG to pay up to €55 million. However, the case later moved on to the second round of hearings, which happened on October 15.

Mbappe set to win case vs PSG

According to L’Equipe, Mbappe is now poised to secure another legal battle over PSG surrounding the €55 million case.

As per the report, the LFP will officially provide a verdict today, which is likely to favour the Real Madrid superstar.

LFP’s verdict will ask PSG to pay €55 million to Mbappe as unpaid dues. This could be a major blow for PSG, whose relations with the Frenchman have deteriorated greatly over the past few months.

It must be remembered that at the time of the hearing, speculations emerged surrounding the Stockholm Police investigation rape allegations.

The Frenchman, though, was quick to dispel these allegations, branding them as part of PSG’s efforts to paint a bad image against the player ahead of the second hearing.

Moreover, the report adds that PSG have no intention of paying Mbappe €55 million, even if the verdict rules in their favour. Therefore, it will be interesting to see how this saga develops in the coming days.
