Real Madrid 18-year-old wonderkid will not seek Janaury exit amid lack of minutes

When Real Madrid were 2-0 down in El Clasico and were pressed to make changes to alter the course of the game, Carlo Ancelotti turned to his bench and scanned the resources available at his disposal.

Luka Modric was the obvious solution in midfield, but it was clear that the team could do with an added presence in the final third. With Rodrygo unavailable, Endrick was the only forward available, yet the manager did not consider the possibility remotely.

His decision was not surprising, for it was just the latest of the four consecutive games for Real Madrid that the youngster did not feature in.

After his start against Lille in the UEFA Champions League, his stocks have been going bearish.

Endrick does not give up

It is clear that Endrick has fallen down the manager’s pecking order since his poor performance in France. The lack of a real structure in the team, moreover, has complicated Ancelotti’s situation.

As revealed by AS, however, Endrick does not give up and accepts the challenge with all the hurdles it presents. He is making an effort to earn minutes under the manager and will fight until he earns what he deserves.

The report also adds that the 18-year-old Brazilian starlet rules out any possibility of leaving in January despite his scarcity of minutes and that he will stay in the capital city at least until the end of the season.

So far this season, Endrick has scored two goals for Los Blancos across all competitions, one each in La Liga and the Champions League.

The generational talent averages just 11 minutes per game in his seven appearances and has missed two big chances in the process.

Currently in his first season in the European elite, it is but natural that the youngster has his learning curve and takes his time to adapt. He is thus engrossed in absorbing as much as he can from his teammates and it is only a matter of time before he explodes.
