Ancelotti calls Real Madrid academy graduate to congratulate him

Real Madrid bid goodbye to one of their most talented academy graduates this summer as Nico Paz left the club to sign for Como 1907 in Italy.

The 19-year-old Argentine wonderkid left Real Madrid for a fee of €6 million, with the Merengues retaining a 50% future sell-on clause as well as a buyback option for him.

Having left Real Madrid for Como, Nico Paz already made his debut for the newly-promoted Serie A club, coming on as a substitute in the 1-1 draw against Cagliari.

Even though the teenage wonderkid played for a little over 32 minutes on the night, he showcased his talent and potential, as he was involved in some slick moves.

Indeed, according to Defensa Central, Ancelotti watched Nico’s performance on his debut for Como and called him up to congratulate him.

“You played very well, you had a great impact on the game,” the Italian tactician told the former Real Madrid starlet.

The report adds that Nico is very happy with his first steps in Italy while Real Madrid will keep closely following his development at his new club.

After all, as mentioned earlier, the Spanish and European champions have a buyback option on him and if he continues to shine, the possibility of a return to the Santiago Bernabeu could become a reality.
