Ancelotti slowly losing support at Real Madrid amid some tension in locker room – report

Barcelona’s 4-0 pounding of Real Madrid has rung many alarm bells within the camp at Santiago Bernabeu.

The loss, one of the most severe at the Bernabeu, has now ignited fresh debates over Ancelotti’s future.

The chatter over the Italian’s future has been further intensified by the team’s overall slow start to the season and the failure to properly utilise the front duo of Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Junior.

Real Madrid back Ancelotti, for now

According to a report from Rodra P, the Real Madrid board has retained their faith in Ancelotti, despite the mounting pressure.

Last December, the club extended his contract until 2026, and the club have no intention to sack the Italian midway through the campaign.

Florentino Perez, who holds a deep respect for the Italian manager’s contributions, envisions a continued association with Ancelotti at Madrid, even if his tenure as head coach ends.

However, the board indicate that recent months have sparked concern over Ancelotti’s tactical rigidity and handling of young talent, notably Arda Guler, who has struggled to find a place in his setup.

Fissures between Ancelotti & Real Madrid

The report further adds that authoritative voices at Real Madrid, despite acknowledging his contributions, are slowly withdrawing their support of Ancelotti.

As mentioned earlier, disagreements center around his day-to-day management style and the development of emerging stars.

Moreover, tension in the dressing room has reportedly risen, with some players and staff growing frustrated over issues like training dynamics led by fitness coach Antonio Pintus.

While Ancelotti insists he is unfazed by the rumours, the Clasico blow may be difficult to overcome. And unless Real Madrid make a drastic turnaround, Ancelotti’s future at the Santiago Bernabeu may not guaranteed for long.
