Former Real Madrid starlet refuses to rule out future return

Real Madrid signed young Iker Bravo for the Castilla setup in August 2022 on loan from Bayer Leverkusen. The youngster, at the time, was considered one of the hottest young strikers in world football and arrived on loan.

After a year in the Spanish capital, Bravo’s loan deal was extended for another season last summer, but failed to make much of an impact.

With Los Blancos deciding not to make his signing permanent, Bravo returned to his former club Bayer Leverkusen earlier this summer.

Bravo grateful to Alvaro Arbeloa, not ruling out future return

Speaking to the media recently, the young striker reflected on his time in Madrid and how Alvaro Arbeloa helped him polish his game during their time together.

“Alvaro is a very special person for me, I already said at the time that when I was worse, he helped me a lot.”

“All the features of the game that have benefited because it has trained me are being seen on the field,” he added on his transformation, as revealed by MARCA.

When asked to pick his role models, Bravo did not hesitate to name three former Real Madrid stars.

“I always pay a lot of attention to Benzema because of my style of play and my idol is Cristiano Ronaldo. But Morata is a great striker for me and I look at things about him as well.”

Finally, the 19-year-old was quizzed on where he would play next season. While he did not reveal much, he did not close the door to a possible return to Madrid.

“Right now my future does not go beyond the match against France. I am very focused on the European, I really wanted to go back to the national team and I have a head one hundred percent with it,” he began, emphasizing the ongoing U-19 European Championship.

“I wouldn’t know how to tell you about my future, but you can never say no to Madrid,” he added.
