The injury woes continue to pile up at Real Madrid as they have lost another defender, youngster Jacobo Ramon, to an injury, reports MARCA.
Ramon, a product of La Fabrica, was made a part of the first-team setup this season after the ACL injury sustained by fellow youngster Joan Martinez.
However, the 19-year-old has had some bad luck with fitness woes as he missed a couple of games with a muscle problem he picked up during the previous international break.
Now, Ramon has been struck down by another muscular injury at a time when he was looking forward to getting some minutes with the Castilla team with the first-team matches on a pause due to the international window.
As per the report, the injury is not believed to be a serious one, but it still serves as a warning for Real Madrid, who are getting thinly stretched in the defensive department.
Earlier this week, Eder Militao was forced to withdraw from the Brazil squad due to a quadriceps injury, although he is expected to recover in ten days.
David Alaba is still nowhere close to making a comeback from his ACL injury while Jesus Vallejo has struggled with fitness problems throughout.
Now, Ramon’s injury leaves Ancelotti with Antonio Rudiger as the only reliable option in defence and the Spanish champions will be hoping he returns without any mishaps from the international break, as he is currently away with the German national team.
Despite the situation, Real Madrid appear to be firm on their stance of not wanting to sign a new player in January despite Ancelotti seeing things otherwise.
