Lamine Yamal: “I would never play for Real Madrid”

There is no doubt that Lamine Yamal is playing a fantastic role in the Euro Cup, and is a crucial player for the Spanish coach, Luis de la Fuente. Although he hasn’t scored any goals yet, he has taken 11 shots and provided two assists.

The Barça player recently had an interview with ‘El Chiringuito’ where he was asked about his future at Barça, the Ballon d’Or, and even Real Madrid. When questioned about how much of a Barça fan he is on a scale from 1 to 10, he confidently replied: “A 10”. He also made it clear that he would never play for Real Madrid, staying true to his Barça roots.

When asked if he feels pressure being compared to Leo Messi, he responded: “These are comparisons that people make, but there’s no one like him. I just focus on playing my game without feeling pressured.” He also shared that while he believes Messi is the best in history, he enjoyed watching Neymar play.

As for the Ballon d’Or, he expressed that being in the top 3 of the best players is every footballer’s dream. Looking ahead to his future, he hopes to become a regular player in the Barça first team and represent his national team in all competitions.
