He added, “I’m happy about the renewal and being where I wanted to be. On a personal level, I’m trying to help the team and improve on last season. In football, you always have something to learn.“
When asked about his role on the team, Vazquez emphasised that it does not matter where he plays. His primary focus is to be on the field and contribute in any way he can to support his team.

“Playing as a fullback? The important thing is to be on the field and help the team in any way I can. I have to perform where the coach tells me to.”
Thoughts on Arda Guler, Mbappe Endrick

The full-back also mentioned that everyone at the club is eager to play with Kylian Mbappe. “Mbappe is a world-class player and we are all looking forward to meeting him.“
Lastly, he had some words reserved for young debutant Joan Martinez, saying that he is a defender with great potential.
“I wasn’t here at 16, he (Joan Martinez) is an incredible boy. He played very well today, he is a defender with great potential and we will help him evolve.”
