Mallorca brace for ‘Mbappemania’ as Real Madrid showdown set for historic VIP sell-out

Real Madrid’s first match of the new La Liga season is set to be a historic event for Mallorca, as according to journalist Isabel Pacheco, tonight’s game will likely see the largest attendance in the club’s history.

The anticipation is anticipated as fans and notable personalities gather to witness Kylian Mbappe’s highly awaited La Liga debut.

Pacheco highlights the buzz surrounding the event, mentioning that the excitement isn’t limited to football enthusiasts.

In fact, the stadium will be graced by various prominent figures, including Lionel Scaloni, Mario Suarez, Dudu Aouate, singer Rels B, Olympic medalist Marcus Cooper, and numerous influencers and politicians.

All eyes will be on what is dubbed ‘Mbappemania,’ which has been sweeping through Madrid for weeks and has now reached fever pitch in Mallorca.

More spectators than anticipated

The desire to witness Mbappe’s first appearance in Spain’s top flight has sparked a frenzy among both locals and tourists. The club has been sold out for days, with officials predicting a full house tonight.

The match against Real Madrid is always a significant event, but this year’s game has taken on an even greater importance due to Mbappe’s presence.

Last season, the corresponding fixture attracted 23,000 spectators. This time, however, a record-breaking crowd of 26,020 people is expected to fill the stands, marking the highest attendance in Mallorca’s history.

Mallorca have been challenging for Real Madrid

The anticipation is not just about the numbers; it’s about the atmosphere. Mbappe’s La Liga debut comes after a strong start in Warsaw, but Son Moix has historically been a challenging venue for Real Madrid.

The club has been rallying the fans with the slogan, “Son Moix will be hell on Sunday,” aiming to create a daunting environment for the visitors. The hope is that Mbappe’s time will be anything but comfortable.

As the clock ticks down to kick-off, the stage is set for a memorable night. Mallorca are ready to make history, and all eyes are on Mbappe as he begins his La Liga journey in what promises to be an electric atmosphere.
