Marc Cucurella family
Marc Cucurella is a Spanish footballer born in Alella, Barcelona, on July 22, 1998. He is known for his versatility on the field, being able to play as a left-back, midfielder or winger.
Cucurella began his career in the youth ranks of Barcelona club Espanyol before joining Barcelona B in 2017. His technical ability and crossing ability caught the eye, leading to him being promoted to the Barcelona first team on a few occasions, although he never fully established himself in the first team.
In search of more playing opportunities, Cucurella was loaned to SD Eibar for the 2018–19 season. It was there that he enjoyed a very successful season, playing mainly as a left-back. His consistent performances and ability to support the attack with accurate crosses and quick dribbling prompted Eibar to attempt to acquire him permanently, but Barcelona decided to sell him to Getafe CF instead.
At Getafe, Cucurella continued to excel as a left-back, gaining even more experience in La Liga. He became a key player in Getafe’s defense and attack, contributing assists and standing out for his energy and tireless work rate along the touchline.
In addition to his achievements at club level, Marc Cucurella was also called up to the Spain U21 squad and eventually made his senior debut for Spain in 2021. His versatility and technical skills make him a valuable option for different tactical systems.
In short, Marc Cucurella is a promising young player who continues to develop and gain experience in top-level football in Spain, with the potential to excel even further both at club and international level.
