Born on December 5, 1995 in Trondheim, Norway, Alexander Sørtoth began his career as a professional football player after years in the youth ranks and signed for Rosenborg in July 2013.
He moved to the Tippeligaen, making his debut for Rosenborg in July 2014 during a league game. Sørloth further blossomed his skills at Bodø/Glimt on loan in 2015 after scoring thirteen goals during his tenure, including a six-goal thriller against Sarpsborg 08.
His career took an international turn when he signed for FC Groningen in November 2015 and then FC Midtjylland in June 2017. He then had a notable spell at Crystal Palace in January 2018, where he demonstrated his prowess with a goal against Swansea City in an EFL Cup match.
