Official: Four Real Madrid stars in Brazil squad for World Cup qualifiers

It has been only a week since the 2024/25 season got underway but the first international break of the new campaign is already around the corner.

Indeed, club football will go on a brief hiatus in the first two weeks of September as players fly out to play for their national teams.

Brazil, after a disappointing run at the Copa America this summer, will be aiming to get things back on track in the 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers as they face Ecuador and Paraguay during the upcoming international break.

And, as many as four Real Madrid stars have been named in the squad by manager Dorival Junior.

Eder Militao, Rodrygo Goes, Vinicius Jr., and Endrick all feature in the Brazil squad list for the two World Cup qualifier games against Ecuador and Paraguay.

All four players were part of the roster during the Copa America as well but failed to meet the expectations on their shoulders during the tournament.

As such all eyes will be on them again, Vinicius in particular, given that he is now the face of this Brazil team in Neymar’s absence.

Endrick’s selection will also likely raise some eyebrows considering he has hardly since the Copa America, with the 18-year-old yet to make his official debut for Real Madrid since arriving this summer.

But with three more games left to be played before the international break, the teenage forward will hope to get some minutes before flying off to play for the Selecao.
