Paul Pogba chooses Real Madrid superstar as the ‘best player in the world right now’

Vinicius Jr. might not have won the Ballon d’Or last week but there is no denying that the Real Madrid forward is one of the best in the game currently.

Even though the Ballon d’Or results might have panned out differently, the popular opinion seems to be that the 24-year-old Brazilian international is at the top in football currently.

Indeed, earlier today, Liverpool and Netherlands forward Cody Gakpo named Vinicius as the best player in the world.

Now, echoing the same sentiment, former Manchester United star Paul Pogba has also named the Real Madrid megastar as the best player in the world right now.

Appearing on a live stream with influencer iShowSpeed, the midfielder, who is expected to leave Juventus shortly by agreeing a mutual contract termination, said the following when asked to name the best footballer in the world currently:

“I will give it to Vini.”

Vinicius enjoyed a stunning last season as he played a clutch role in helping Real Madrid win the UEFA Champions League, La Liga, and the Spanish Super Cup.

Even though he had a relatively slow start to the new season, the Brazilian is showing signs of being back to his best as was seen with his match-winning hat-trick against Borussia Dortmund in the UEFA Champions League a couple of weeks back.

Following a subpar display against FC Barcelona in the first El Clasico of the season, Vinicius will be aiming to get back to his goalscoring ways when Real Madrid face off against AC Milan in the Champions League later tonight.
