Real Madrid academy duo all set to leave the club imminently

As is the case almost every year, Real Madrid see a plethora of young talent leave the club after completing their cycle with Castilla as there is little to no space in the first-team squad.

This summer has already seen academy products like Rafa Marin, Juanmi Latasa, and Marvin Park leave the club permanently.

Now, two more exits are set to be completed imminently.

Mario Martin and Rafa Obrador on their way out

Indeed, two key members of the Real Madrid Castilla team, Mario Martin and Rafa Obrador, are on the cusp of leaving Real Madrid.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Martin is set to join La Liga club Real Valladolid on a season-long loan deal and is already on his way to his new club to complete the formalities today.

Martin, a defensive midfielder by trade, is rated highly by Carlo Ancelotti and his staff. The Spanish youngster did pre-season with the first team and played in the pre-season friendlies in the USA, making a good impression as well.

However, given the competition for places in the senior side, especially in midfield, it has been decided that the best course of action for Martin and his development would be to join Valladolid on loan, with no purchase option.

Meanwhile, another report from Mundo Deportivo claims that Obrador is set to join Deportivo La Coruna imminently.

The 20-year-old left-back has been a mainstay in the Castilla team over the last two seasons and is all set to sign for Deportivo La Coruna, on a season-long loan deal.

Like Martin, the agreement for Obrador is said to not contain a buy option, although Deportivo are trying to get a clause inserted to make his stay permanent at the end of the season.

Obrador was also attracting interest from Las Palmas, but is now headed for Deportivo La Coruna, where he will hope to impress in the new season.
