Real Madrid assistant coach on the radars of several first division teams – report

Carlo Ancelotti’s Real Madrid continue to roll out wins despite dishing out unconvincing performances and thus echo what has been the story of the team under his command – win at any cost.

Los Blancos’ success under the Italian manager is indeed unprecedented and Ancelotti will go down as one of the most legendary coaches in Real Madrid history no matter what goes on from this point.

A big part of the success in his second term, however, is down to the strong team he has built – primarily his second assistant and his son Davide Ancelotti and the main assistant Francesco Mauri.

Going solo

As revealed in a recent report by Jorge C Picon (h/t The Madrid Zone), Davide Ancelotti is considering parting ways with his father’s project and diving into a management career of his own.

He wishes to establish a name of his own and thus sees a departure in the near future as a real possibility, albeit with complete respect to his father’s project.

Several first-division clubs are interested in Davide after his success with Ancelotti with the likes of Leicester City and Stade de Reims said to be among the parties looking at him.

The Italian has completed the UEFA Pro Course and is thus eligible to take on the assignment.

The team’s main assistant Mauri is also said to be looking out to make his name and could link up with Davide if the aspiring manager goes on for an assignment of his own.

Carlo Ancelotti, thus, may be left without his two most important management assets should his son pull the trigger. But there is nothing imminent about it at this point.

The father-son duo have disagreed over certain topics in recent times, but the difference in opinion is trivial and not something that can trigger a departure from the subordinate.
