Real Madrid made one of the biggest signings of recent times this summer when they brought in Kylian Mbappe from PSG, on a free transfer.
The 25-year-old French superstar joined as a free agent after his contract with Les Parisiens ran out and was welcomed to the club in a rousing presentation ceremony at the Santiago Bernabeu last month.
However, given that Mbappe had an extended run at the UEFA Euro 2024 with France, he has yet to join the pre-season training and is only expected to do so after the team returns from the US tour.
Real Madrid confident Mbappe will provide a huge boost
Naturally, Mbappe’s arrival has generated great excitement, but there have also been some concerns owing to his form at the Euros as well as questions over how he fits into the team.
Despite all that, MARCA reports that Real Madrid are confident Mbappe’s presence will provide a huge boost to the team for the upcoming season.
Real Madrid are eagerly awaiting for the French superstar to join the rest of the team and believe that his integration into the squad would be a major boost.
While Mbappe might not be a part of the US tour, the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner is working hard by himself to join the team in the best possible shape in a week’s time.
Once he links up with the squad, the former PSG superstar will have around a week to prepare for Real Madrid’s first game of the season – the UEFA Super Cup tie against Atalanta.
That is when Mbappe will make his debut for his dream club and hope to kickstart his career as a Real Madrid player with a trophy.
