Real Madrid defender’s recovery going as planned despite recent setbacks – report

David Alaba’s recovery from his knee injury is progressing well, according to a report from MARCA

The Real Madrid defender has been dealing with a long and challenging rehabilitation process, but the latest updates suggest that things are now back on track.

After facing some initial setbacks, Alaba’s recovery is said to be going as expected, and he is steadily getting closer to returning to action.

A long layoff

The injury, which occurred in December 2023, has kept him off the pitch for a significant amount of time. He tore the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his left knee, and this kind of injury is always a major concern for any footballer.

There has been a lot of speculation about the severity of his condition, with some even suggesting that his future in professional football could be at risk.

However, these rumours seem to be exaggerated, as the club remains confident in his recovery.

Despite the delays in his rehabilitation, Alaba has been working hard every day to regain his fitness. His confidence is growing, and he feels better with each passing day.

No timeline set

While there is no exact timeline for his return, there is optimism that he will soon be back on the pitch. Although he is not ready to play just yet, the idea that his career might be over due to this injury is unfounded.

Real Madrid have been preparing for their upcoming Champions League clash against Borussia Dortmund, and Alaba recently returned to training at Valdebebas.

While he is still training alone for now, his presence on the pitch is a positive sign. The club will continue to monitor his progress, but the signs are encouraging that Alaba will make a full recovery and resume his role in the team when the time is right.
