Real Madrid €40 million-rated attacker has never considered leaving this summer

With the additions of Kylian Mbappe and Endrick this summer, Real Madrid have further boosted the level of their attacking unit heading into the 2024/25 season.

What it also means is an increased level of competition for places in the squad with as many as six players vying for the three attacking spots in Carlo Ancelotti’s 4-3-3 setup.

Indeed, Vinicius Jr., Rodrygo Goes, Mbappe, Endrick, Arda Guler, and Brahim Diaz will have to battle for those spots, which has even given way to speculations about possible departures for some players.

Brahim ready to battle for his place

Brahim Diaz is one such player whose future was called into question due to the increased competition for places in the Real Madrid attack.

Despite the speculation though, AS reports that the 25-year-old Moroccan international has never considered the possibility of leaving the club this summer and his only focus remains on succeeding at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Having returned to the club last summer after a three-year loan stint at AC Milan, Brahim made valuable contributions as Real Madrid went on to win three trophies.

Now even though there is more competition, Brahim is confident he will get his opportunities, considering that the Merengues will be playing in seven competitions in total and rotation will be needed through a jam-packed fixture schedule.

Real Madrid see Brahim as an important part

Meanwhile, Real Madrid themselves consider the 25-year-old Brahim as an important player in the scheme of things even though he might not always be a guaranteed starter.

The Merengues did not permit the versatile attacker to join the Moroccan national team for the Olympics as they considered his presence vital in pre-season and the early parts of the new campaign.

Brahim impressed on the pre-season tour of the US, particularly in the game against Chelsea, where he scored and assisted a goal apiece.

In fact, Ancelotti is considering him as an option to start for Real Madrid when they face Atalanta in the UEFA Super Cup clash in a few days.
