Real Madrid forward’s potential exit never discussed despite speculations – Romano

The past few months have seen speculations surrounding the future of Real Madrid forward Rodrygo Goes surge.

The 23-year-old’s continuity was called into question upon the signing of Kylian Mbappe, and the rumoured interest from Manchester City only served to fuel the speculations further.

The Brazilian’s recent deleted post on WhatsApp where he fired shots at those overlooking him amidst the hype surrounding the ‘BMV’ trio of Jue Bellingham, Kylian Mbappe, and Vinicius Jr. also contributed to the situation.

Rodrygo’s exit never discussed at Real Madrid

Despite the rumours and speculations though, the possibility of Rodrygo’s exit from the club has never been discussed at Real Madrid, reports Fabrizio Romano.

Neither the player nor the club considered such a possibility for this summer as per the Italian journalist, which is very much in line with what manager Carlo Ancelotti said during his press conference this week.

“For me, there is no Rodrygo issue. He says he is very happy and content. He’s delighted. It’s a subject that we don’t comment on because there’s nothing to comment on,” the Italian tactician said.

Romano adds that Rodrygo remains fully focused on succeeding at Real Madrid while Los Blancos have also ruled out any more player sales at this point, barring Nico Paz, who is set to join Como in Italy imminently.

So, as things stand, in the final few days of the summer transfer window, Rodrygo’s exit is certainly ruled out.

However, reports have suggested that the Brazilian might reconsider the situation next year based on how things go for him during the ongoing season. And if he does not enjoy much prominence in the team, his exit in 2025 could become a possibility.
