Real Madrid prodigy’s entourage getting fed up with Ancelotti’s lack of faith

Arda Guler’s start to life at Real Madrid did not turn out how the player hoped, especially with injury marring his first season at the club.

A lot was expected to change this season, especially after his explosive performances at the Euro 2024.

While he has indeed seen more minutes compared to last season, the player is nowhere close to satisfied with the role he currently plays in Carlo Ancelotti’s dynamics.

Beginning to get fed up

As revealed in a recent report from SPORT, Guler’s entourage, in particular, is beginning to get fed up with the manager’s lack of faith in the youngster despite his promising displays.

The Turkish wonderkid has played 280 minutes in nine games so far this season but most of the share has come from fringe minutes in games already decided or on nights when the result was already beyond doubt.

Frustrated by the lack of chances for the youngster, the Turkish star’s entourage could well explode if he is not given a start later tonight against Villarreal.

After all, it was Guler whose introduction against Lille brought some life into Real Madrid’s play.

Ancelotti, for his part, is still not completely convinced of Guler’s abilities and believes he does not contribute enough defensively.

He thus places the likes of Eduardo Camavinga and Federico Valverde above the young sensation at least until he improves on that aspect.

The teenager rejected a move on loan to AC Milan last summer hoping to prove his worth under Ancelotti.

If the situation does not change soon, the possibility of a departure could emerge on the table, especially given how patient the player has been so far without being aptly rewarded.
