Real Madrid youngster has a ‘more than interesting’ offer from new suitors in La Liga

Alvaro Rodriguez is expected to leave Real Madrid before the summer transfer window slams shut this week.

The 20-year-old Uruguayan striker does not have a place in the first-team squad at the Spanish capital club at the moment and even though he is a valued member of Raul Gonzalez’s Castilla setup, the youngster is headed for the exit doors.

Earlier this week, reports emerged claiming that Getafe were the most likely destination for the forward.

New suitors emerge

However, now, according to journalist Silvia Tamaral of MARCA, a new La Liga club have emerged as a strong suitor for Alvaro Rodriguez’s signing in recent hours.

As per the update, there will be an important meeting today with Getafe to decide on the Uruguayan forward’s future, but a new top-division team have also made their interest known.

In fact, the update from the journalist states that this unnamed club have put forward a ‘more than interesting’ offer for Rodriguez.

The young forward has been on Real Madrid’s books since 2020 and went on to make his first-team debut under Carlo Ancelotti in 2023.

Rodriguez, so far, has ten senior appearances, in which he has scored and assisted one goal apiece.

However, given the loaded attacking unit at Ancelotti’s disposal, there is no space for the youngster, who picked up an ankle injury during the pre-season tour of the US this summer.

With not much time left in the summer window, Rodriguez’s departure is likely to be imminent, although the 20-year-old must decide between Getafe and the new suitors that have emerged now.
